Today, we are going to talk about design that is timeless to you. These lamps were gifts from my husband for our first anniversary. While the bronze finish may go in and out of trend, for us they are pieces that have meaning and will always have a place in our home. This is a project from 12 years ago, and the client still loves it. The room is designed around the client’s own black and white photography. And she loves fresh, vibrant colors. Pairing those elements makes this room one she will not tire of when the trends change. This home was one of the first projects I completed over twenty years ago. I remember when we first met, she told me her favorite color was purple. She was afraid I was going to tell her she couldn’t use it because it was not a color that was “in”. Instead, I embraced it and launched her whole design concept with purple. Many treasures are amassed while traveling. We used our clients collection he had acquired while working over seas to create a vignette in his entry way. It immediately set the tone for the home and reflected who he is. When it comes to creating a design concept for your own home, do not be afraid to embrace who you are!
