If you are bored with a piece of furniture, try reimagining and refreshing it. As long as the piece has good bones and/ or functionality, you can try updating it with fabric, hardware, or paint to make it new again. Or, you can move it to a new room. Sometimes moving furniture to a new spot in the house makes it feel so much better.

BEFORE: This chair has good bones and great potential, but the fabric was not doing it any favors. It was moved out of the master bedroom, because we wanted to have a matching set. It was moved into the living room that would be a better fit for the formal lines.

After: The chair looks like a brand new piece with different fabric.  We used a cream velvet around the outside of the frame.  The inside is contrasted with a soft blue paisley silk.  Now, she is the bell of the ball. Wait until you see the photos of the completed living room to see how she really shines in her new home.

Here, our blue chair used to be a sage green. If you get tired of the color scheme, try freshening it up.  The bones of the chair are classic and the open concept of the frame was still perfect for our room.  So, we just reupholstered it. We found two fabrics we loved and decided to use them both to create a new personality for the chair.
