I am back to share the rest of my favorite finds and observations from Las Vegas market with you. In part one of the blog, I shared mostly colors and schemes that were trending at Las Vegas Market. This round, let’s talk outdoors, wallcoverings, and maximalism.
Inside Out
Outdoor living has been a strong category with more and more people looking to extend their living spaces by moving them outside. It seems that the lines between indoor and outdoor is becoming blurred with desire for our patio furniture to have the look and comfort of our living rooms. Wicker is no longer what you found in Mr. and Mrs. Roper’s apartment; it is far more attractive and hardier. And furniture isn’t the only place where we are demanding a better aesthetic; outdoor lamps and accessories are following the trend of bringing our comforts of inside out.

Concrete
We also saw the outside brought in at Vegas Market. Concrete isn’t just for sidewalks, patios, and driveways anymore. First, we saw the trend in concrete counter tops and now we have concrete furniture. The Mid Century modern trend is the perfect aesthetic for blending in this “gritty” texture. I saw it in benches, dining tables, coffee table, and my favorite were the cool shapes and styles of accent table.

Temporary Wallpaper
I was loving all the new temporary wallpapers I was seeing in Las Vegas too. It has really come a long way and there is a pattern for anyone or any space now. You can use even use it dress up a tired piece of furniture or as a backsplash in your kitchen and bathroom. I am excited to use it a project soon.

Maximalism
Maximalists may be about to have their day in the sun again. The clean lines of mid century modern isn’t going anywhere any time soon, but it looks like we are ready for more ornate glitz and glamour in our lives, too. And Las Vegas Market seems like the perfect setting for this new Victorian based motiff that is popping up. I have to say, I was very surprised to see these two showrooms in the sea of clean lines. Victorian has never been my favorite style, but I did welcome the change in scenery to be honest. These are a couple of my favorites that I didn’t think were too ornate and busy. 🙂

That’s a wrap for Vegas Market this year. Did you have a favorite trend? We would love to hear what you think in the comments below.
